Which Set of fractions is larger 1/2+1/6 or 1/4+7/12 ?
1/2=30 mins. ( 60÷2=30 )
1/6=10 mins. ( 60÷6=10 )
30+10= 40 mins ..

1/4=15 mins. ( 60÷4=15 )
7/12= 35 mins. ( 60÷12=5x7=35 )
35+15=50 mins..

So,1/4+7/12 is larger than 1/2+ /6 ,. !

Okay, so,16 - 16÷ by 1/2=8 (2/4 already.) then,, + 4 because 4 = 1/4 of 16 and that would = 12. .
or , 4 is 1/4 of 16 so just multiply 4 by 3 which equals 12.
